Summertime in Manly can be a bit windy on the ocean side, specially in the afternoon. That’s why most of our locals – and tourists will make their way to the Harbour side, the Manly Cove (or wharf beach), where you can not only enjoy a nice time -wind free- at the beach but if you stay until the end of the afternoon you will be amazed by a beautiful sunset. Bring your picnic gear and enjoy it on the grass area along the beach!
Feeling active? if you make your way to the right-end of Manly Cove beach you start the Manly to Spit Bridge Scenic Walk (10km- gentle to medium walk). Make sure you bring your camera, snorkel and plenty of drinking water! You will walk through breath-taking beaches with crystal clear and calm waters, bush area with aboriginal heritage sites and an amazing view of Sydney Harbour. It’s 10 out of 10!
